What is Kart Racing?

Dirt Karts are some of the wildest most intense racing experiences possible. The sport is suited for anyone ages seven to sixty. There are 11 classes at Thunder Hill Speedway - starting with the 5 Horsepower Novice class upo the 80+ Horsepower 500cc Pro Open Winged Outlaw class. Racers who start in Karts have proven themselves in all other venues of motorsports including NASCAR, USAC, World of Outlaws, etc. The skills they acquire in the highspeed action packed races gives them the confidence and ability to dominate other classes. Karts are the perfect "feeder" class and the best stepping stone to Midgets, Modifieds, Late Models, Sprint Cars and more.
Over the past several years Dirt Kart Racing popularity has increased by more then 300% and in some areas much more.
Kart racing is a great way for a family or individual to get involved in racing at an entry level. The sport is safe and affordable when compared to any other racing.
